Raving Self-Importance

I’ve been reading the posts from a particular atheist for a bit. I recently became aware that he deleted me as a link with no notice. I just did the same. However, I did it for a bigger reason: Saying that this person has become pretentious is being nice. I don’t wish to read (or refer others to) posts by someone who writes long lofty essays with unclear points just to look down at the “followers”.

If I come off a certain way; its just my writing style. I’m more of a creative writer who happens to be a geek as well. I never try to preach; I just want others who feel the same to know they’re not alone (excuse the cheese). I am trying to make like-minded friends so there isn’t that inevitable gap between taking an unwarranted leap or not. Granted, many of my friends do not fully agree with my views on religion and that’s cool. There’s always room for debate and there’s always room to stop & move on to another topic.

I began blogging in efforts to reach a new community of free-thinkers, people who understand that morals and ethics come from within… whether or not one believes in some godly formation, spirit, and/or energy… (God-loving in far more respectable than god-fearing.)

I may not believe in folktales, but since the beginning of The Simpsons (I was about 8), my mom has called me Lisa. Still does. Perhaps the grocery stores grapes are a bit extreme, but I have a bigger conscience than most. I sometimes call it common sense. I don’t believe in an afterlife; I believe in doing good while one’s here by spreading honesty, compassion, and understanding for future generations to live, love, evolve, prosper, and reinvent.

Hmm thats a shame. Is it perhaps Raving Atheist (guessing from this post title)?

I will surely keep your link on my blog forever, as long as you remain a blogging atheist! :)
