Pau Gasol Hopes and Wishes
We all know how God hates Dwight Howard or at least is annoyed by his hubris.
So I saw this clip this morning on my local news, but for the love of the Invisible Pink Unicorn, I cannot seem to find it. Realizing, however, that if its a YouTube, it will eventually be removed or ruined somehow anyway so transcripts will surely suffice.
When asked about Coach Phil Jackson, Pau Gasol had this to say:
I think he would like to come back. I really want him, I wish and hope that he comes back. He’s such a big part of our team and our success. I don’t know if he gets enough credit for what he does. He’s such a great person, not just a coach, he’s just a great guy to be coached by. I respect him so much, appreciate who he is and what he’s about extremely. It’s a true pleasure and honor to be coached by him so I really hope he can coach us again for as long as he wants, can or (will be allowed) by.
That’s correct: “wish and hope”.
It’s nice to hear ballplayers not invoking any form of god. I don’t know what he may have said in the past and I’m not implying anything about his philisophical views. Yet, from what I’ve seen, he tends to thank the hard work and dedication of the team (and coach). Imagine that, credit going where credit is due. For the love of the logic!
