Raised (reform) Jewish, the notion of a physical Heaven & Hell as well as having a messiah (such as Jesus) was always foreign to me. I have always been an atheist, I just didn’t realize it and certainly wasn’t out. Growing up, I assumed that mentions of god and the afterlife were pure niceties that no one actually believed in. Later on, I found out how untrue this notion was. I always railed against religion and general conservativism for as long as I can remember. I’ve always felt very connected to the Jewish culture, while lacking faith in the stories. I started blogging in 2006, mainly due to the the fact that “godless” is all too often equated with “immoral”.
I’m an emphatic fan of nature and space, hence my old online alias Intergalactic Hussy and it’s successor, interhuss. There is a beautiful purpose to life: the wondrous process of evolution and the universe at large. I taught myself HTML & CSS while at a temp job with a lot of down time. I’m currently learning PHP. I’m a freelance web designer and developer as well as a digital artist.
