This screen capture is a couple days old. We contacted Morgan Matthew of Think Atheist, who seems to have changed some of the text but an actual response is still pending. Though some text has changed, “Coming Out Godless: What’s your Story?” still remains. (On a side note: “Coming Out Godless: What’s your story?” was our text before we changed it to “The Coming Out Godless Project: Share your story.”, which can still be seen on some of our older link to us buttons— towards the bottom.)

On Sunday July 26th, (Brother) Richard Haynes — director of Atheist Nexus — spoke at the Atheists United meeting. We’ve known each other online for several years through our blogs and other projects; it was great to finally meet him.

Richard first spoke of his life with his wife and daughters leading to his own coming out. While overseeing much of what happens at Atheist Nexus, he’s taken it on as a near-full-time job. He spoke to the concept of the site: a Facebook for nonbelievers to meet, discuss, network, and befriend one another from across the globe as well as locally. It’s a great place to meet other atheists for discussion, networking, friendship, or even dating (as it is quite difficult it is to meet free-thinking friends and dates in many other settings). Check it out!
