Gather ’round fellow skeptics! Yesterday morning I received a submission to The Coming Out Godless Project that I thought was a bit off-topic. A first I thought it could be satire but upon a second glance, it seemed like human spam. It wouldn’t be the first time. Here’s Sandra Brothers’ story:

Since I was little, I was very different from other people. I comunicate with the dead. I’m 24 now. It’s hard for me to believe myself though I’m never wrong. I am very into science so it’s hard for me to not feel stupid telling others what I do if they ask. I’m not any religion, but if I were I would be Bahai. There are many ghosts that follow me around, and it has been proven by science driven investigators time and time again. So, I know I am not crazy. Ghosts/spirits are everywhere, I think it’s a great discovery of life after death, even scientists know they exist, so why are people so reluctant to see it? It’s not that scary for me anymore. When things move, voices are heard, and people are being touched, and everyone in the room sees it, it’s just another day for me. I’m interested in how electromagnetic energy such as themselves can be intelligent, without a body or brain? We can measure their energy in static, or on a emf scale, ok well if it can be intelligent, than what does that mean logically for all objects giving off the same emf feild like tv’s, microwaves, cell phones, ex. Once people can get past the fact that WOW it is real, then maybe we can get to work on the science behind it. Though, i dont think most humans have the brain capacity to handle it.

Neatly bundled with a ghostly URL, Ghosthunting.com. Warning: You may visit but do not buy a thing unless you are very gullible and enjoy throwing money at crazy.

Almost had me there with “I’m not any religion” but lost me again with “but if I were I would be Bahai.” That’s the closest thing that relates to being godless. Not only did she never mentioned what the said science is behind these happenings or any sort of source or reference, she didn’t mention typical key topics: atheist, agnostic, or coming out! Coming Out Godless is not necessarily a skeptic site but c’mon!

“We can measure their energy in static, or on a emf scale, ok well if it can be intelligent, than what does that mean logically for all objects…” Logically? Intelligent? Logically, it means there has never been any proof of apparitions; they are completely fictional. If a being can be intelligent, then its probably not seriously spreading around these harmful lies. The humanist in me is a bit annoyed at the idea of pontificating such fictional ideas and labeling it as reality. It’s potentially very harmful to society. Psychics (and other “spiritual” people) making money off of the sad, weak, and gullible certainly are.
