With all this talk of the California Supreme Court upholding Prop 8, I hear a lot of how it all comes down to one word: Religion. And rightly so, but certainly not 100%. And I speak from experience. Bad new for Mormons and fundies alike, this Prop 8 stuff isn’t going away: During the election, the Mormon Church pumped hundreds of thousands of dollars into the push to ban same-sex marriage in California — a campaign that deprived people in a different state [from where the church is based] of a fundamental civil right.
