Artist Sebastian Errazuriz says Jesus Popsicles are a statement on fanaticism and violence

Sebastian Errazuriz, Brooklyn-based artist, is pointing out the violence of religious extremism with bloody popsicles. Via CNN’s Belief Blog: At a party this weekend celebrating New York Design Week, which begins today, the Chilean-born artist plans to hand out 100 “Christian Popsicles” made of “frozen holy wine transformed into the blood of Christ” and featuring a crucifix instead the tongue depressor that typically hosts the frozen treats, he said. I like this book because it says a lot in so few pages (about 95). Here is a short synopsis (from Wikipedia): Harris...

Morality Sale! All Religions Must Go!

Many strong theists who criticize atheism believe we all want to do away with god and religion. Religion, BIG YES. God, eh. I feel that the idea of god does not do near the harm that religion does. Religion is the problem; god is not. Agnostic theists (or deists) don’t bomb abortion clinics or innocent children on buses. (When I use the phrase “agnostic theist”, I am referring to god-believers or those who just don’t know but refuse to prescribe to any religion. Or...
